Buscopan Cramps Tablets have the active ingredient, Hyoscine Butylbromide. It is an antispasmodic that's derived from natural, unprocessed hyoscine. Hyoscine relaxes involuntary muscles in the walls and intestines of the stomach, bowel, bile, and urinary tract. These muscles contract when neurotransmitters called Acetylcholine activate them. Hyoscine prevents acetylcholine from acting on smooth muscles, thereby stopping spasms and reducing pain.
