You may not be fully protected against pregnancy if you forget to take your pills, and it has been over 12 hours. Take your pill as soon as possible.

You don't have to take more than one tablet if you forget. However, you will not be protected from pregnancy. For the next seven days, you can continue to take your pill as usual and use an additional method of contraception such as a condom.

Cerazette tablets are 75 micrograms of film-coated tablets containing Desogestrel. One tablet per day is recommended. Each pack contains 28 tablets. This is a 4-week supply.

The active ingredient might not have been fully absorbed if you vomit within 3 to 4 hours of taking your Cerazette tablet. Use additional contraception if necessary.

Cerazette, like any other medicine, may cause the following side effects, although not everyone will get them:

Swollen face, difficulty swallowing, hives, or difficulty breathing due to a severe allergic reaction;
Ectopic pregnancy, where a baby develops somewhere outside of the womb and is indicated by sudden and severe pain in the lower abdomen;
Severe pain or swelling in either of your legs, unexplained pains in the chest, breathlessness, an unusual cough, or coughing up blood (Thrombosis);
Liver disorders;
Mood Swings;
Decreased sexual drive;
Depressed mood;
Headache;
Nausea;
Acne;
Breast pain;
Irregular or no menstruation;
Increased body weight; or
Infection of the vagina.
