Lyrinel XL effectively treats urge incontinence or an increased frequency of urgency in patients with unstable bladders.
Lyrinel XL tablets have a prolonged-release design. They slowly release oxybutynin over the course of the day as it passes through your intestines.
Lyrinel XL tablets should always be taken as a whole, do not chew, crush, or break the tablet. It will prevent their long-release action from functioning. You can take the tablets with or without food.
It is advisable to take your medicine at the same time every day. It will help you remember when to take your prescribed dose. If you forget to take your regular dosage, you can take it as soon as you remember, provided that it is not too close to the next dose. You can skip any missed doses if it's too close to your next regular dose. Do not double the dosage to make up for the missing one.
Continue to take Lyrinel exactly as prescribed, until your doctor tells you to stop.
The usual dose of Lyrinel XL is one tablet once a day.
