Your period is delayed or you are experiencing symptoms of pregnancy (heavy breasts and morning sickness);
You have Crohn's disease or a small-bowel disease that prevents you from absorbing the drug;
You have severe liver disease;
You have a history of ectopic pregnancy (a situation in which the baby is born outside of the womb); or
You have a history of salpingitis (inflammation in the Fallopian tubes).

Some evidence suggests that the drug may not be as effective for women with higher body mass indexes (BMI). However, despite the absence of data, it is still safe to be taken by all women regardless of their weight.
