Before using Balneum Plus bath oil, shake it well. As the bath is heating up, add a few drops of the oil to the water. Follow the instructions in the leaflet. Mix well.

For itching or pruritus, use the lowest possible water temperature.

The soap will strip the skin's protective emollient layers. Avoid using soap along with Balneum Plus Bath Oil.

You can use the bath oil in the shower by spreading the oil evenly on the skin. You can remove any excess oil from your skin by running the water under the shower, but do not remove all of it.

After showering or bathing, pat dry your body with a towel. The protective oil layer can be removed by rubbing the skin with a towel.

You can use Balneum Plus bath oil as follows:

To make a full adult bath, add 20 ml bath oil to 100 litres of bathwater. You should soak in the tub for between 10 and 20 minutes but not more.

To make a partial bath in the sink, add 2.5 ml bath oil to 5 litres of water. Apply this water to the affected areas of the skin.

Add 5 ml bath oil to the water for newborn babies or child baths. Then, gently wash the skin with your fingers for a few seconds.

For extremely dry skin, you can use 2-3 times the amount recommended.

Depending on your skin conditions, the frequency and length of baths will vary. Adults should bathe at least three times per week or as prescribed by their doctor. Children and babies are recommended to take a bath daily with Balneum.

You don't need to immerse your body in water if you have a small, localised dry spot on the skin. For a partial bath, you can only use the sink or bowl and the recommended amount of bath oil.

Side effects of Balneum Plus Bath Oil are rare. Side effects may include reddening, itching, or burning of the skin. It is possible to get a pustular rash.

Some people may experience allergic reactions to the soy oil and peanuts in Balneum Plus Bath Oil. Some people may experience irritation from other ingredients, such as benzylbenzoate, to their skin, eyes and mucous membranes.

Balneum Plus bath oil must be kept out of reach of children. The bath oil should not get into the eyes. If the oil comes into contact with the eyes, rinse it with lots of water. In the event that oil is accidentally swallowed by someone, get medical attention immediately.

Use detergent to clean the shower or bath after you have used the bath oil. Rinse the tub with hot water. Bathroom surfaces could become slippery from the bath oil. Take extra care when getting out of the tub.

If you have an allergy to soya or peanuts, Balneum Plus Bath Oil should be avoided.
