Aldara cream is a treatment for genital warts which can also be used to treat some early forms of skin cancer. It’s applied directly to the area where it gets to work stimulating your immune system, encouraging it to get rid of irregular cells and slowly treating your warts and other growths. Directions
- Apply a thin layer of Aldara cream to the affected area once daily, before bedtime.
- Gently rub in until the cream is no longer visible.
- Wash the area with soap and water 8 hours after application.

Wash your hands thoroughly and dry the area that you wish to treat before you use this product. You can open a new sachet, and rub the Aldara cream onto the area you want to treat. Each sachet has enough cream to cover 20cm2 of skin. You can throw away any cream left in the sachet and wash your hands once more after you have finished treatment. The cream should be left in place for 8 hours. After that, wash your hands with mild soap and water. If you have genital warts under your penis' foreskin, be sure to pull them back every day.
Aldara contains imiquimod at a concentration 12.5mg per 250mg cream.
Treatment should be done three times per week until you have no genital warts. Although your warts may disappear within 4 weeks, treatment usually lasts 8 to 12 weeks. You should not go beyond 16 weeks of treatment.
You can forget to apply your Aldara treatment if you forget. This should not be done more than once per day.
You should not use Aldara in a higher amount than you should or apply it to the wrong area. You should contact your doctor immediately if you have accidentally ingested any of the creams.

An itching or burning sensation or pain where you’ve applied the cream.
