Aldara 5% cream

Aldara cream can be used as a treatment for genital and early stages of skin cancer. You apply it directly to the affected area, stimulating your immune system and encouraging it to eliminate any abnormal cells. It will then slowly treat your warts and other growths. You can forget to apply your Aldara treatment if you forget. This should not be done more than once per day.

You should not use Aldara in a higher amount than you should or apply it to the wrong area. You should contact your doctor immediately if you have accidentally ingested any of the creams.

Aldara cream, like all medicines, can cause side effects. However, not everyone will experience them. These are some of the most common side effects:

The cream may cause a change in the skin's colour, it might improve over time, but if not treated they may become permanent;
If you have a bad reaction to the cream, discontinue using it, wash your skin with soap and water;
A lower blood count can increase the likelihood of you getting infections;
You may bruise more easily or feel exhausted;
You can experience hair loss in the area where the cream was applied or the surrounding areas;
Redness of the skin;
Wearing away of the skin;
Flaky skin and swelling;
Hardening under the skin;
Small open sores;
A crust forming over the area during healing;
Small bubbles under the skin; and
An itching or burning sensation or pain where you’ve applied the cream.
