Naproxen belongs to a class of pharmaceuticals known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Period Pain Reliever is a medication that is used to treat period symptoms (also known as menstrual pain or dysmenorrhoea) in women between the ages of 15 and 50.
Naproxen is the active ingredient. Each pill contains 250 mg of the active ingredient.
The pill is gastro-resistant, which means it has a coating that prevents it from dissolving in the stomach, allowing the naproxen to be released farther down in your intestine.
Always take Accord Period Pain Reliever Tablets exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Online Pharmacy 4U pharmacist has told you.
You should swallow the tablet whole with water, with or after food. Do not crush or chew the tablets.
First day of treatment
Initially take 2 tablets. If needed, take 1 tablet after 6-8 hours.
Second day of treatment
Take one tablet every 6-8 hours.
Do not take more than 3 tablets a day for more than 3 days during each menstrual cycle.
