Zumenon tablets combine hormone substitution therapy (HRT) to treat symptoms associated with menopause. It contains two active ingredients that imitate the effects of female sex hormones, a natural form of oestrogen (oestradiol) and a synthetic form of progestogen (norethisterone acetate).

Two types of Zumenon (i.e., 1 mg and 2 mg) are available with Pharmacy4U that you can buy online. Your doctor will recommend Zumenon either in the 1 mg doses or the 2mg doses. Your doctor will review your dosage regularly to ensure that you get the correct dosage. Because HRT can increase your risk of certain cancers and bloodclots, it is recommended that women take the lowest dose possible for as short a time as they are able to manage their symptoms.

Zumenon should only be prescribed by your doctor. Follow the instructions of your doctor. Always read the information leaflet included in the medication packet. To treat your symptoms, your doctor will try to prescribe you a lower dose. Take one tablet per day with water.
Zumenon can be taken anytime you wish, provided you don't have periods or aren't currently taking any HRT medication. You should switch from a sequential or cyclic HRT drug to Zumenon after you have completed your current pack.

Zumenon tablets should only be used orally and should not be taken more than once daily at the prescribed dose.

Each strip contains 28 tablets. You can start the next strip immediately after you have finished the first strip.

If you are taking Zumenon and still have a womb, then Zumenon should be combined with a form of HRT that contains progesterone to take at the same time as Zumenon for the first 12-14 days of each new strip.

You can take Zumenon at a time of your choice if you are not using HRT or are switching from a continuous combination drug, or are not having any periods.

If you are currently taking any sequential HRT medicine, you should start Zumenon when you have finished your current prescription.

Read the Patient Information Leaflet carefully before taking Zumenon.

If you forget your dose and it’s more than 12 hours late, don’t take the forgotten pill. Take the next prescribed pill, do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Zumenon may not cause side effects for everyone. However, there may be some side effects including:
