The tablet should be taken with or without food, as directed by your doctor during a migraine attack. The patient's medical condition, prescription medications are taken, and the response to treatment will determine the dosage. If you're taking any other prescription or non-prescription medications, as well as herbal or alternative products, tell your doctor immediately.
Zolmitriptan should be taken as soon as you feel any symptoms of migraine. Drink a glass of water and take a tablet. You can take another tablet if your migraine persists after two hours. Do not take more than 10mg of the medication within 24 hours.
If the patient is not able to get relief from the 2.5 mg tablet, he/she should take a 5-mg dose of Zolmitriptan.
Your daily average intake of the drug must not exceed 10 mg.
Difficulty breathing, allergic reactions such as hives and swelling of the lips, throat, tongue, throat, tongue, or face;

Common headaches should not be treated with the drug. Only use it if you have a migraine headache. You should not take the medication if your heart condition, blood circulation problem, history of stroke, heart attack, heart disease, high blood pressure, or any other health problems.
It is advised not to take the medication if you have utilised any medication with MAO inhibitor in the past two weeks like rasagiline, linezolid, isocarboxazid, phenelzine, selegiline, methylene blue injection, or tranylcypromine. It is prohibited to use the drug if you have used any other migraine medication within the 24 hour period.
Consult your doctor before taking Zolmitriptan if any of the following applies to you:
If you are allergic to Zolmitriptan;
If you have Angina;
If you have Coronary heart disease;
If you have decreased blood supply to your heart;
If you have problems with blood circulation;
If you have Wolff Parkinson White Disease;
If you have heart attack history;
If you have high blood pressure;
If you have a blood vessel problem;
If you have problems with blood circulation; or
If you have different types of migraines.
Children under twelve years of age are advised to stop using the drug. Paediatric patients have not been subject to any medical studies that would indicate the safety and efficacy of the tablet. Children should not be given the medication.
Patients over 65 are not recommended to use Zolmitriptan. There is no evidence that the drug is safe or effective for patients older than 65. The medication should not be used by elderly patients.
