Vokanamet, an oral anti-diabetic medication, is used to treat type 2 diabetes.
Type 2 diabetes sufferers have a pancreas that doesn't make enough insulin or are unable to properly use it. Diabetes is characterised by a higher level of insulin, which Vokanamet helps to control.
Type 2 diabetes is a chronic illness that can affect your entire life. However, it is more common in older people. You may experience excessive thirst, frequent urination, extreme tiredness, or fatigue.
Vokanamet can help you manage this disease.
To lower side effects, take the tablets whole with a glass of water. It can be taken at any time, but it is best to keep your preferred time for taking it in mind.
One tablet twice daily is the normal dose. However, your doctor will determine which dose is most effective for you based on your circumstances.
You should remember to take your Vokanamet tablet, do not take the missed dose if you are near the time of your next dose. Do not double up the dose. Taking excess Vokanamet can cause lactic acidosis that may cause a permanent condition called a coma. You may feel or become sick.
