Why People Use It

Azithromycin 250mg is a trusted, widely prescribed macrolide antibiotic used to fight a broad range of bacterial infections. Always complete the full prescribed course — stopping early can allow bacteria to return stronger. Take it at the same time each day to keep levels consistent. If you miss a dose, take it when you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one.

Things to Keep in Mind

Avoid taking aluminium or magnesium-based antacids within 2 hours of your dose, as they can reduce how well this medicine works. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are currently taking, including herbal supplements. This antibiotic treats bacterial infections only it will not work against viral illnesses like cold or flu.

Warnings

Do not use Azithromycin 250mg if you have previously had liver problems while taking it, or if you are allergic to macrolide antibiotics such as erythromycin or clarithromycin. Use carefully if you have a history of heart rhythm disorders, as this medicine may influence the QT interval. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. Not recommended for children under 6 months.

Possible Side Effects

Most people tolerate this medicine well. Common side effects include nausea, loose stools, stomach pain, vomiting, and mild dizziness. Rarely, serious effects may include irregular heartbeat, severe allergic reaction, skin rash, or signs of liver trouble such as yellowing of the skin or dark urine. Storage

Store at room temperature between 15°C–30°C (59°F–86°F). Keep the product away from direct heat, moisture, and sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use the product after the printed expiry date.
