Propantheline
Propantheline is used in the treatment of peptic ulcers and cramps or spasms in the stomach, intestines or bladder. Propantheline decreases the release of acid in the stomach to treat ulcers and other conditions.
How Does Propantheline Work?
Propantheline belongs to a class of drugs known as anticholinergics. These slow down the movement of food through the stomach and intestines, which decreases the amount of acid made by the stomach. The decreased amount of acid helps alleviate peptic ulcers and prevents them from occurring.

How Do I Use Propantheline?

Propantheline Tablet Dosage
Propantheline is typically taken 4 times a day, 30 minutes before every meal and then at bedtime. However, you should follow your doctor’s prescription carefully and do not take more or less than recommended.
Do not double dose on Propantheline. You may skip a dose if you missed it and it is almost time for the next dose.
