Covonia Herbal Mucus Mixture is for relief of the symptoms of coughs and colds and is non-drowsy.

Directions

Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years: Two 5ml spoonfuls every 4 hours as required, up to a maximum of 4 times per day.
Children under 12 years: Not recommended.

Ingredients
Active ingredients per 5ml: Ipecacuanha liquid extract 0.0076ml, liquorice liquid extract 0.125ml, squill oxymel 0.78ml, ethanol (alcohol) 107mg, sucrose 2.3g.
Other ingredients: Pumilio Pine Oil, Anise oil, Capsicum tincture, Chloroform, Ethanol (96%), Diethyl ether (peroxide free), Arrowroot, Menthol, Peppermint oil, Syrup, Treacle black, Purified water.

Shake the bottle well before use. Measure the syrup using the dosing cup provided.
  • Adults, the elderly and children 12 years and over: Take 15ml. Each dose should be taken as required, but do not repeat the dose more frequently than every 6 hours. Not more than 3 doses should be taken in any 24 hours. Do not exceed the stated dose.
  • Children under 12 years: Do not give.
Do not take with any other cough and cold medicine. If your symptoms persist or worsen, you must see a doctor or pharmacist. 

  • Active Ingredient (per 15ml): Guaifenesin 200mg.
  • Other Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Sorbitol (E420), Sodium Cyclamate (E952), Sodium Saccharin (E954), Carrageenan, Potassium Sorbate, Anise, Blackcurrant and Menthol Flavours (Triacetin (E1518), Propylene Glycol (E1520)), Colours Ponceau 4R (E124) and Caramel (E150).

  • Covonia Chesty Cough Sugar Free Syrup contains sorbitol (E420), approximately 3.1g per 15ml dose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
  • Covonia Chesty Cough Sugar Free Syrup contains the colouring agent ponceau 4R (E124) which may cause allergic reactions.
Do not take Covonia Chesty Cough Sugar Free Syrup if you:
  • Are allergic to guaifenesin or any of the other ingredients.
  • Suffer from porphyria, which is a type of blood disorder that causes skin or nervous system problems.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Covonia Chesty Cough Sugar Free Syrup if you:
  • Have an intolerance to some sugars.
