How to Use

Rotating injection sites each time helps reduce the risk of developing lumps under the skin.  The Penfill cartridge is compatible with Novo Nordisk reusable insulin delivery pens and NovoFine or NovoTwist needles. 

Things to Keep in Mind

Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly and share the results with your doctor this helps in adjusting the right dosage for your condition.  If you travel across time zones, consult your doctor in advance as meal and injection timings may need adjustment.  Kidney or liver conditions should always be disclosed to your healthcare provider before starting this insulin.

Warnings

Do not refill the cartridge once it is empty dispose of it properly. Do not give this medication to others, even if they have similar symptoms. A valid prescription is required for this product. Keep it away from children at all times.

Possible Side Effects

Common side effects may include hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar), low potassium levels, local injection site reactions, fat changes under the skin, rash, and itching at the injection site.  If you experience any severe reaction, seek medical help immediately.

Storage

Unopened cartridges should be stored in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C do not freeze. Once in use or carried as a spare, keep below 30°C at room temperature for a maximum of 4 weeks. Keep it protected from direct light. 

Active Ingredient

Each ml contains 100 units of insulin aspart, and each 3ml cartridge provides 300 units in total. 

Other Ingredients

The inactive ingredients include glycerol, phenol, meta-cresol, zinc chloride, sodium chloride, dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate, sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, and water for injections.
