Fusidic Acid works by stopping the growth of new proteins in bacteria. These proteins are vital for bacteria to grow and multiply. The infection cannot replicate or spread without these proteins.
Fusidic Acid does not kill bacteria. It enables their ability to multiply, and the rest of the infection heals by the body's natural immunity system. Creams with Fusidic Acid are often effective in treating eczema and dermatitis.
Betamethasone belongs to a class of medicines known as topical corticosteroids. These medications are effective in reducing skin inflammation caused by eczema and dermatitis. Sometimes, our immune system releases chemicals and substances that can irritate the skin. It can cause blood vessels to widen (dilate). The affected area may become red, tender, itchy, or swollen as a result.
Betamethasone penetrates the skin and reduces the production of inflammatory-causing chemicals. It reduces inflammation and redness.
Fucibet Cream treats eczema or dermatitis if there is a bacterial infection. These two active ingredients work together to treat eczema. Fusidic Acid is active in treating the condition, and Betamethasone's strong corticosteroid effect effectively reduces inflammation and swelling.
Fucibet Cream is to be used externally on the skin. Ensure that the seal remains intact when you remove the cap. The cap's spike can be used to open the tube. Apply a thin layer of lotion to the skin.
FTU (Finger Tip Unit) is the unit of measurement used to measure creams and other ointments. One FTU refers to the amount of cream applied from the edge of a nail to the first crease on the finger. If the area affected is the same size as two adults' hands, this is an indication of how much cream you will need.
Before using the medicine, be sure to wash your hands well. Wash your hands after using the cream unless you are treating your hands.
Fucibet cream usually produces a noticeable improvement in symptoms within days. Fucibet cream may be used for up to two weeks. However, if there is no improvement after 7 days, you should stop using it and consult your doctor. The likelihood of bacteria becoming resistant to the cream increases and the cream will not be effective in the future.
To ensure that Fucibet cream is completely absorbed and does not dilute, allow at least 30 minutes from using any moisturiser on the affected area.
After three months, the tube and contents must be thrown away. Do not place medicines in household garbage. You should take them to a pharmacy for free, where they can be properly disposed of.
250mg twice daily is the recommended dose for adults. Apply thinly to the affected areas. Fucibet Cream should not be used if there are no signs of improvement. You can reduce the frequency of the Fucibet Cream when the condition improves. Using it for a longer time helps in maintaining the benefits.
Rash, itchy or inflamed skin
Hypertrichosis (excessive hair growth)
Folliculitis (inflamed hair follicles)
Fucibet should be avoided for children under six years old.
Fucibet should be avoided during pregnancy unless the doctor determines that its use is essential. Fucibet should not be used during breastfeeding unless prescribed by a doctor.
It is not known if Fucibet can interact with other medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all medications you use or plan to use while you're using Fucibet.
Applying a moisturiser right after or shortly before Fucibet can dilute the corticosteroid, making it less effective. You should apply moisturiser at a different time in the day or at least 30 minutes before or after applying Fucibet cream.
Do not apply Fucibet Cream if you have or had any of the following:
A bacterial infection (other than eczema)
Fungal infections
Viral skin infections
Widespread psoriasis
Tuberculosis
Acne rosacea
Inflammatory rash around the mouth
Itching skin in the anal or genital area
Acne vulgaris
Syphilis
