Epimax Ointment is an emollient, bath additive and soap substitute for the relief of dry skin in eczema, psoriasis and other dry skin conditions. Suitable for adults and children of all ages, including babies, it rubs into the skin easily, leaving a protective barrier that seals in water, leaving skin feeling plump, soft and moist.

Epimax Ointment contains no preservatives, colourings, fragrances or ingredients derived from animals and is SLS-free, making it particularly suitable for sensitive skin that is very dry and/or cracked. It can be used in moderate to severe eczema and psoriasis as well as in conjunction with dry and wet wrapping techniques.

As an emollient on the skin
  • Apply Epimax Ointment to the affected skin area and smooth gently onto the skin in the direction of the hair growth. Apply as frequently as required.
As a skin cleanser/soap substitute
  • Scoop a small amount from the tub, lather under warm water and then use as you would for a normal soap when washing or in the shower.
In the bath as a bath additive
  • To use in the bath, take 4g (about the size of a £2 coin) from the tub. Melt this in a tumbler of hot water, ensuring it has cooled sufficiently before adding to the bath.
  • Do not apply hot water directly to the skin.
  • When using Epimax Ointment as a bath additive, care should be taken, as it will make the surface of the bath slippery.

Liquid Paraffin 40% w/w, Yellow Soft Paraffin 30% w/w, Cetomacrogol Emulsifying Wax (Cetostearyl Alcohol, Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether 22)

  • Do not use Epimax Ointment if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes.
  • If this product comes into contact with dressings, clothing and bedding, the fabric can be easily ignited with a naked flame. Keep away from fire when using this product.
