Skip the missed dose and continue with the next dose as usual. Do not double the dosage to make up for the missed dose. However, if you remember within a short time, you may take the forgotten tablet.

Combine Competact with the diet and exercise prescribed by your doctor. Competact does not substitute healthy eating habits and doing regular exercise.

Do not consume alcohol while treating with Competact as it increases the risk of low blood sugar and lactic acidosis.

Regularly monitor your blood sugar and disclose to your doctor if you gain any weight because Pioglitazone can result in increased weight or experience difficulty breathing or swelling in the ankles. It is advisable to get a regular eye test during the treatment, particularly any new or worsening problems with blurred vision.

Metformin may cause a rare condition known as lactic acidosis. It is likely to occur in people with reduced kidney function. Therefore, regularly monitor your kidney function while taking this medication, particularly if you are old or have kidney disorders. Also, regularly monitor your liver.

Take Competact tablets two times a day, once in the morning and again in the evening.
