Natural levels of oestrogen production decrease during menopause. Premique is made up of two hormones for women: an oestrogen (medroxyprogesterone-acetate) and a progestogen. These hormones work together to replenish natural levels and counter the effects of menopause.
One tablet per day. Take it whole and drink a glass of water. To help you ensure you are taking the tablets correctly, there will be arrows beside them.
You can start Premique any time you like, even if you're not taking HRT. Premique is recommended for those who are switching from HRT products that give you a monthly bleeding. If you are switching from HRT that gives you a monthly bleeding to Premique, start Premique the day after you finish the course of the previous product.
Each tablet contains 0.3mg conjugated oestrogens and 1.5mg medroxyprogesterone.
Premique tablets should be taken as soon as possible if you forget. You should throw away the missed tablet and resume taking the medication as usual.
Premique should not be taken in excess. Side effects include nausea, breast tenderness and abdominal pain. You should consult your doctor if you have concerns.
