When the symptoms of migraine are relieved only on a partial basis, or if the headache comes back, you may take another dosage after 2 hours, up to a maximum of 3 doses of 7.5 mg in 24 hours.

One tablet of Frovatriptan should be taken before a migraine attack. If your migraine relief is not complete or your headaches return, you can take another dose of Frovatriptan after 2 hours.

You should not take more than three 7.5 mg tablets within 24 hours.

Your doctor must have prescribed Frovatriptan to you when he deemed that the benefit outweighs the risk of side effects. However, not everyone who takes Frovatriptan will experience any severe side effects.

The following are the common side effects of Frovatriptan:

Flushing;
A sensation of tightness, pressure, heaviness, tingling, numbness, pain, heat, or cold in any part of the body, including the throat and chest (See your doctor if the sensation lasts for more than two hours or has become severe);
Temporary increase in blood pressure;
Dizziness;
Shortness of breath;
Drowsiness;
Weakness or tiredness;
Nausea and vomiting;
Seizures;
Tremor;
Stiff neck;
Faster, slower, or irregular heartbeat;
Palpitations;
Chest pain or heart attack;
Narrowing of the blood vessels in the hands;
Alteration in results of liver function tests;
Low blood pressure; or
Reduced blood flow to the bowel, resulting in pain or inflammation.

you are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine or to any other medicine;
you experience symptoms such as wheezing, swelling of the face, tongue or throat, intense itching or severe skin rashes with previous treatment;
you are pregnant, trying to be pregnant or breastfeeding;
you are taking treatment for any kind of migraine;
you are taking any prescription, non-prescription or herbal medicine; or
you are treating children and adolescents under the age of 18 and adults over the age of 65.
