How to Use

Adults and young people aged 12 and above can take one capsule of either 60mg or 120mg, up to three times daily. Take the capsule whole with a full glass of water; do not crush or chew it. It can be taken before or after meals, whichever suits you better. If you miss a dose and more than 4 hours have passed, skip it and carry on with your next scheduled dose as normal. Never double up to compensate for a missed one.

Things to Keep in Mind

Only use this medicine if your symptoms have previously been assessed by a doctor. If this is your first time experiencing these symptoms, get a proper diagnosis before starting. If there's no improvement after two weeks of consistent use, speak to your GP. Not suitable for children under 12. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you feel dizzy after taking it.

Warnings

Do not take Alverine Citrate Capsules if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a pregnancy unless your doctor has specifically advised it. Avoid if you have a bowel obstruction, paralytic ileus, or severe ulcerative colitis. Always inform your doctor or pharmacist about any other medications you are currently taking, including over-the-counter remedies.

Possible Side Effects

Most people tolerate this medicine well. However, some may experience mild nausea, headache, or dizziness. In rare cases, serious reactions such as skin rash, yellowing of the eyes (which may indicate liver inflammation), swelling of the lips or tongue, difficulty breathing, or wheezing can occur. Stop taking the capsules immediately and seek medical attention if any of these develop.

Storage

Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiry date appear in the packaging. Dispose of any unused medicine responsibly — never via household waste or down the sink.

Active Ingredient

Each capsule contains Alverine Citrate — either 60mg or 120mg depending on the strength selected.

Other Ingredients

Maize starch, magnesium stearate. The capsule shell contains gelatin, brilliant blue (E133), carmoisine (E122), tartrazine (E102), and titanium dioxide (E171). Printing ink contains shellac, propylene glycol, and black iron oxide (E172). Please note: E122 and E102 may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.
