Why People Use It

Rhinolast Nasal Spray is an antihistamine nasal spray used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, blocked nose, and nasal itching. It is commonly used for hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) and other airborne allergies like dust or pet dander.

Azelastine works by blocking histamine, a substance in the body that triggers allergic reactions. This helps reduce nasal inflammation and provides fast relief from allergy symptoms, often within minutes of use.

How to Use

Adults and children (6 years and older, as directed):
Use the spray exactly as prescribed or as directed on the label.

Typically, the recommended dose is:

• 1 spray in each nostril, twice daily (morning and evening)

Before use:

• Gently blow your nose
• Shake the bottle well
• Prime the spray if using for the first time

Insert nozzle into the nostril, spray while gently inhaling, and repeat for the other nostril.

Things to Keep in Mind

• Works quickly, often within 15–30 minutes
• Best used regularly during allergy season for consistent relief
• Avoid blowing your nose immediately after use
• May cause mild bitter taste in the mouth (normal effect)
• Can be used alongside oral antihistamines if advised

Warnings

• Not suitable for children under 6 unless advised by a doctor
• Avoid if allergic to azelastine or any ingredients
• May cause mild drowsiness in some users
• Use with caution when driving or operating machinery
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen

Possible Side Effects

Most users tolerate it well, but some may experience:

• Bitter taste in mouth
• Nasal irritation or burning
• Headache
• Sneezing shortly after use
• Drowsiness (less common)

Storage

Store below 25°C in an upright position. Do not freeze. Keep away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Do not use after expiry date.
