Metformin Tablets

Metformin Tablets are a prescription medication used to manage blood sugar levels in adults and children with type 2 diabetes. The active ingredient, metformin, belongs to a class of drugs called biguanides. It works by reducing glucose production in the liver, increasing the body’s sensitivity to insulin, and helping control blood sugar levels. Metformin Consumption Precautions

Do NOT use Metformin Tablets if:

• You have a history of lactic acidosis.

How To Use Metformin Tablets

• Take the dose prescribed by your doctor, usually 1–3 times daily with meals.
• Swallow the tablets whole with water; do not crush or chew.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding diet, exercise, and blood sugar monitoring.

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding only under medical supervision.
• Regular monitoring of kidney function and blood sugar levels is recommended.

Storing Metformin Tablets

• Store below 25ºC in a dry place.
• Keep the packaging tightly closed and out of reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
