After 21 days, you can go without taking the pill for 7 days (your 7 pills-free days), then start a new 21-pill strip. Your body will experience withdrawal bleeding within the first 7 days. It is similar to a period. Although this period will not last for 7 days, you should still start taking your new pill on time. If you have taken your pills correctly, you won't need any additional contraception during this period.

High or low blood pressure;
Diarrhoea;
Acne, severe itching, skin rash, hair loss;
Vaginal infections;
Fluid retention; or
Alterations to body weight.
