Uniroid can be used to treat haemorrhoids. Uniroid contains two active ingredients, hydrocortisone (for itching relief) and cinchocaine (for itching relief). Cinchocaine, an anaesthetic local to the skin, while hydrocortisone is an anti-inflammatory medication that relieves itching.

A doctor may prescribe Uniroid to treat haemorrhoids or other anal discomforts such as tears or fissures. Itching and pain in the area of the anal can be caused by haemorrhoids. In some cases, the stool may become bright red.

Adults, seniors, and children older than 12 years can use the ointment two times daily, one in the morning, and one in the evening or after each stool movement, unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise.

The ointment should not be used for more than seven days. If your condition does not improve, contact your doctor.

Children under 12 years old should not use Uniroid.
