Testogel sachet is also known as Hypogonadism. It is a type of testosterone replacement that can be used to treat various health conditions caused by a deficiency of testosterone. This condition should be confirmed by two separate blood testosterone measurements and also include clinical symptoms such as:
Low sex drive
Bone loss caused by low hormone levels
Regression of masculine characteristics
Reduced lean body mass
Inability to have/maintain an erection
Use this medicine only as directed by your doctor or the patient information leaflet.
Dosage: 5mg (equal to 50mg testosterone) should be applied daily, preferably in the morning. Apply the gel thinly to clean, dry, and healthy skin on the stomach, shoulders, arms, and stomach. The entire contents of the sachet should be removed from the bag and immediately applied to the skin. Before dressing, let the gel dry for at most 3-5 minutes. After applying the gel, wash your hands with soapy water.
Avoid applying it to genital areas (penis or testes) as the high alcohol content may cause local irritation.
Your doctor should be consulted if you are using more Testogel. Do not double-dose Testogel if you have forgotten to take it.
Testogel should be continued unless you are told otherwise by your doctor.
Testogel Sachet, like any other medical gel, may cause some minor side effects. These symptoms will disappear once the body adjusts to the medicine. The common side effects include:
Development of painful, tender or enlarged breasts
Changes to your prostate gland
High blood pressure
Increase in red blood cell count, haematocrit and haemoglobin
Changes in lipid levels
Loss of memory
