Pyrocalm Control Omeprazole 20mg Tablets are an over the counter medicine to treat the symptoms of reflux, including heartburn and acid regurgitation in adults.

What is reflux?

Reflux is a back flow of acid from the stomach into the gullet (foodpipe) which can cause it to become inflamed and painful. Sufferers may experience a burning sensation in the chest (heartburn) and/or a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).

The main causes for reflux are:

Pyrocalm Control Omeprazole 20mg Tablets contain the active ingredient Omeprazole which belong to a group of medicines called ‘Proton Pump Inhibitors’. They work by reducing the amount of acid the stomach produces. The Tablets release the Omeprazole in the intestine, where it is absorbed by the body to relieve symptoms. Pyrocalm Control Omeprazole 20mg Tablets are not intended to bring immediate relief. It may be necessary to take the Tablets for 2-3 consecutive days to fully relieve symptoms.
