Lenzetto Spray is a type of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). It contains the female hormone oestrogen and it’s used by postmenopausal women with at least 6 months since their last natural period. Lenzetto can also be used in women who have had surgery to remove their ovaries as this causes instant menopause. Lenzetto Spray contains small amounts of a medicine called estradiol. When sprayed onto the skin as directed, it passes through the skin into your bloodstream.

Menopausal symptoms include a hot face, neck and chest (“hot flushes”), sleeping problems, irritability and dryness of the vagina. Thankfully, Lenzetto alleviates these symptoms after the menopause.

Each 6.5 ml bottle of Lenzetto spray is manufactured by Gedeon Richter and contains 56 sprays. It is suitable for use by women who had their last menstrual bleed 6 months ago, those who have undergone a hysterectomy or it can be used by women who still have an intact uterus alongside a progesterone-only form of HRT.

How to use this product

The spray should be applied to the inner forearm, ensuring that your skin is dry and healthy. If that’s not possible, it should be applied on the inner thigh. 

Do not apply Lenzetto to the breasts or any area near the breasts. Before a new applicator is used for the first time, the pump should be primed by spraying three times with the cover on.
