It has a mouthpiece at the top and a cover when not in use. Start by standing the inhaler upright, then open the cover completely. Take a deep breath and hold it there for as long as you can. Next, open the cover and bring the inhaler to your mouth. Close your lips around it. Hold that inhale for 10 seconds. After using the inhaler, close your mouth gently and exhale.

It is important to keep the cover closed when not in use. The dose indicator will count this as dose, and you might not realise that you have a new inhaler. After using the inhaler, clean your mouth and brush your teeth. The medication may leave behind a strange taste or cause thrush.

Fostair NEXThaler is a combination of the active ingredients beclometasone dipropionate anhydrous and formoterol fumarate dihydrate, available in strengths of 100/6 micrograms or 200/6 micrograms respectively, per dose.

It is important to note that the recommended dose varies depending on whether you are using it to treat COPD, asthma, or if you use it as a single inhaler. It is recommended to take 2 inhalations per day if you use it to treat COPD. It is recommended to take 1 to 2 inhalations twice daily if you are only using it as an asthma treatment. However, your doctor may recommend 4 inhalations twice daily if you feel you have a need.

Fostair NEXThaler can be used as a dual-inhaler, which provides long-term relief as well as fast-acting relief for attacks of breathlessness. The recommended dose is one inhalation each morning and one inhalation at night.

Take one inhalation during an asthma attack. Wait a few minutes before you take another. You should not take more than six inhalations of pain relievers in one day. Also, you shouldn't take more than 8 inhalations per day. If the maximum dose isn't working, consult your doctor.

The dose indicator will show you when your inhaler is due for replacement.

Fostair NEXThaler should not be missed if you forget to take it. However, skip the missed dose and go straight to the next one. Do not double your dose to make up the one you missed.

Fungal infections (of the mouth and throat), headache, hoarseness, sore throat.
Pneumonia in COPD patients: Tell your doctor if you have any of the following while taking Fostair
as they could be symptoms of a lung infection:
fever or chills
increased mucus production, change in mucus colour
increased cough or increased breathing difficulties
