You can swallow the tablets whole by drinking a glass full of water with or without food. Do not take the tablets with milk. Do not drink milk within the first hour of taking the medication.
Dulcolax is recommended for constipation. 1 to 2 tablets daily before bedtime. Start with 1 tablet daily if you have never taken Dulcolax before and then increase to 2 as needed.

you have a blocked bowel (intestinal obstruction),
you have inflammation of the bowel (small or large intestine), or
you are taking any prescription, non-prescription, or herbal medicine.
Like any other medicine, Dulcolax may cause the following side effects:
Abdominal cramps or pain
Blood in the stools
