Canesten Thrush Combi is a combination treatment that can treat both the external symptoms and the internal infection. It includes an internal pessary and a cream to treat external symptoms like itching.
Vaginal thrush can cause any one of these symptoms: persistent burning, odourless vaginal discharge, itching, whitish, redness and swelling of the vaginal and vulva. Canesten Thrush Combi treats these symptoms effectively.
It is crucial to have your symptoms examined by a doctor if you have never had thrush. Sometimes they may be similar to other sexually transmitted diseases.
Ages 16-60: Always wash your hands before and after applying the cream. Use the provided applicator to insert the pessary into your vagina, preferably at night. The cream should be applied thinly to the area twice daily.
Consult your doctor if you don't see improvement after seven days. It is to be used in and around the vagina only.
Consult your doctor before using Canesten Thrush Combi if you are:
having symptoms of thrush for the first time;
pregnant or trying to become pregnant;
having more than two episodes of vaginal thrush in the last 6 months;
having a sexually transmitted disease;
having irregular or abnormal vaginal bleeding or a blood-stained discharge;
having ulcers, blisters or sores of the vagina or vulva;
having a foul-smelling discharge from the vagina;
having pain or difficulty in passing urine; and
having fever or chills.
Side effects are not usual with medication. However, it is possible to feel irritated in the area of application or a burning sensation. Talk to your doctor if you have concerns about any of the symptoms of a side effect or if you feel the product is affecting you in other ways.
